In May 2020, Vietnam Global Transport Joint Stock Company (VGT) successfully carried out the receiving, transportation, and installation of a shipment consisting of six 500kV/900MVA transformers along with all associated transmission equipment for the construction of the Thuan Nam 450MW Solar Power Project, integrated with a 220/500kV substation in Thuan Nam District, Ninh Thuan Province.
The 450MW solar power plant project, located in Phuoc Minh Commune, Thuan Nam District, together with the Thuan Nam 500kV substation and the 500kV and 220kV transmission lines, is designed to connect to the national power grid. The project plays an important role in developing the power transmission system of Ninh Thuan Province, the South Central coastal region, and contributes to the expansion of the national electricity transmission infrastructure.
